Oppression of Tribals in India
Friends, I just want to share my life-experience with you. India is a country which is characterised by religious and cultural complexity and social stratification. The country is now submerged into the stream of capitalism where the gap between the haves and havenots are inexplicable.
Ever since the inception of NEP(New economic policy of India) in 1991, there had been a lot of progress in the indian economy. But this so called development simply strengthened the existing social pyramid in which the tribals who are outside the fold of Hinduim became politically voiceless, socially excluded ,dehumanised and alienated. What is more, the so called safronisation threatened peaceful co-existence of the people. Now the victims are crying for justice. From a theological and ethical perspective, all these opressions and dividing walls should not be tolerated. As Jesus himself stood firm against injustice and evil forces
This short statement is voice of the voiceless. How would you feel if you are in the victim’s shoes…
